U.S. stocks fell slightly on Friday, and the Dow industrials posted the biggest weekly loss this year because of low consumer confidence levels. Consumers are losing confidence in the market and are spending less and to add on to that consumers are spending less because of rising interest rates.
Investors are also worrying about the Federal Reserve stopping their stimulus next month, because of this worry investors are not confident to invest in the market.
Productivity in the United States rose 0.9% per employee, now the contradiction to this report is that this puts companies in a tough situation because it reduces their incentive to hire more workers since productivity has increased.
Overall the next couple of weeks the market will be heavily be dependent on the news about Federal Reserve.
