U.S. Jobless Claims Fell to Five-Year Low Over Past Month



  • According to this trend you can see the initial Jobless Claims has gone up BUT still is down compared to previous months within the year and also down to a 5 year low, which shows the LABOR MARKET is improving.
  •  Week earlier, claims rose by 13,000 to 336,000, in line with the median forecast of 48 economists surveyed by Bloomberg.
  • The number of people continuing to receive jobless benefits increased by 29,000 to 3 million in the week ended Aug. 10.
  • The employment report for August will be released on Sept. 6.
