Market Terms

This page helps individuals learn what a a word might mean in the market, for example when investors refer to the market as “Bullish” it means its good and the stocks are rising, but if it’s “Bearish” it means the market is sluggish and down.

What is a BULL MARKET?

  • A bull market is when the market in which share prices are rising, encouraging buying, basically when the market is doing good and optimistic.

What is a BEAR MARKET?

  • A bear market is when the market in which prices are falling, encouraging selling. It’s the opposite of Bull Market, and investors aren’t confident in the market to invest because they fear they will lose money.
